Who is BEHIND Pinch & Plate?

A chef and a decorator.

Before we met, we both enjoyed hosting gatherings for friends because it was a way for us to share what we are passionate about. After finding each other, we began to collaborate on dinner parties and events, providing our friends and loved ones with intimate culinary experiences.

After the seamless execution of a plated five course dinner party, we realized we had something special. Pinch & Plate happened organically.

Chef Eric Adjepong was born and raised in New York City. As a first generation Ghanaian-American, Eric sources his flavors from many of the foods he grew up eating. Eric found his way to one of the best culinary universities in the nation, then made his circuit around some of the city's premiere restaurants including two different Michelin Star rated establishments.

Eric has three degrees in Culinary Arts; a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales University, and a Master of Public Health in International Public Health Nutrition from the University of Westminster in London, UK. Currently, he is a private chef and Public Health & Nutrition professional.

Janell Adjepong started Decor Moxie in 2012. Decorating became a passion of hers when she purchased her first home in Washington, D.C. seven years ago. She was determined to have a home she was proud of and others took notice. After being asked to share her decorating tips and do-it-yourself projects, soon came requests for decor consultations and other services. Janell decided a blog would be the best platform to help others - which is how Decor Moxie was born.

Janell has over a decade long career in the federal government, with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University, and a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University.
